Ty Warren

Ty Warren currently is the President of Warren Global Media, Inc., a consulting firm which helps entertainment and entertainment related companies scale their businesses to meet the increasing demand for content by the global streaming services. Additionally, Warren serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors for Cinespace, a entertainment real estate company with holdings in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and Berlin. He is also part of the New Technology Committee for the camera/lighting manufacturer Arri based in Munich, Germany. For two years prior, Warren served on the Board of Directors for Pixomondo, a Visual Effects and Virtual Production company with locations in Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, Stuttgart and London. The company was sold to Sony in October 2022. Prior to these endeavors, Warren served as the Head of Physical Production for Netflix from May 2016 through September 2021. While at Netflix he oversaw production, post production, VFX, Music, studio technology and studio operations for all Netflix Originals including their increasing slate of non-English language content. His team started with 12 people in Beverly Hills and in five years, he built the team to 850+ members all over the world (Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, London, Madrid, Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, Istanbul, Cairo, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, Bangkok, Tokyo, San Paulo, Mexico City, and Seoul). Two years ago, the Hollywood Reporter selected Warren as one of the Top 25 Production Executives in Hollywood.

Previously, Warren served as the Executive Vice President of Physical Production for Legendary Pictures where he oversaw the production/post production/VFX of Legendary’s slate of feature films including “Warcraft” directed by Duncan Jones, “The Great Wall” directed by Zhang Yimou starring Matt Damon and “Kong: Skull Island” directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts starring Sam Jackson, Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston. Additionally, Warren oversaw production on the global success “Godzilla” directed by Gareth Edwards, highly acclaimed “42” directed by Brian Helgeland, starring Harrison Ford; “Pacific Rim” directed by Guillermo del Toro; “Krampus” directed by Michael Daugherty; “Blackhat”directed by Michael Mann starring Chris Hemsworth and Viola Davis; “Crimson Peak” directed by Guillermo del Toro starring Jessica Chastain, as well as Legendary’s interests in “Jurassic World”, “Straight Outta Compton”, “Interstellar” directed by Christopher Nolan, “Unbroken” directed by Angelina Jolie,“Dracula Untold”, “Man of Steel” directed by Zack Snyder, “300: Rise of an Empire”, “Hangover 3”, “Jack the Giant Killer”, “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Wrath of the Titans”.

Prior to Legendary, Warren served as the Senior Vice President of Production for DreamWorks Pictures. For DreamWorks he supervised “Transformers 2” starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox; “Revolutionary Road” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet; “The Soloist” starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx; “Ghost Town” starring Greg Kinnear, Ricky Gervais and Tea Leoni; and “Eagle Eye” starring Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan and Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg. As the Vice President of Production at DreamWorks Warren also supervised the hits “Transformers”, “Dreamgirls” starring Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Foxx; “Blades of Glory”, starring Will Ferrell; “Disturbia” directed by DJ Caruso starring Shia LaBeouf; “Heartbreak Kid” starring Ben Stiller; “The Kite Runner”based on the best selling book of the same title; and Dreamworks’ interests in “Sweeney Todd” directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp.

Before starting at DreamWorks, Warren served as the Production Supervisor on the Will Ferrell comedy “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby;” Associate Producer on Ridley Scott’s “The Kingdom of Heaven” starring Orlando Bloom, Jeremy Irons and Liam Neeson; Production Supervisor for Michael Bay on “The Island” starring Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson; and Production Supervisor on the Academy Award winning film “Gladiator” starring Russell Crowe. For four years Warren served as Production Executive at Alphaville Productions, based at Paramount Studios, where he served as the in-house production executive for such films as “The Mummy Returns”, “The Scorpion King”, “Rat Race” and “Down to Earth”. He also worked on DreamWorks’ first film, “The Peacemaker” starring Nicole Kidman and George Clooney.

Ty has been a mentor for the Producers Guild of America and has served as a speaker to young people just starting out in the film industry at the University of Southern California, the University of California at Los Angeles, the American Film Pavilion and the Inner City Filmmakers

Ty has been married 28 years to Julann Warren and they have 3 children together. Delaney (27) who graduated from UCLA, received her Masters from University College London and who is now studying to be a Veterinarian and lives in Bristol, TN. Emerson (24) who graduated from UCLA as well. He is making a move into the video game industry and lives in Charleston, SC. McKinley (22) is studying performance arts at AMDA in Los Angeles. Ty has a daughter from his previous marriage, Skye (32) who lives with her partner in Portland, OR.

Ty and Julann purchased their farm in June 2021 from Carl and Elliot Moore and have lived in Bristol full time since August of 2022. Locally, Ty serves on the boards of both the Barter Theater and the Paramount Theater. Julann serves on the board of the Symphony of the Mountains.
