The tradition, which dates back to the 19th century, honors the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale.
“The tradition and significance of this ceremony is so powerful, and it is a privilege to be able to celebrate this joyous occasion with our graduates each semester,” said Donna Fraysier, DNP, dean of the School of Nursing.
Those participating earned a range of degrees, including the bachelor of science in nursing, registered nurse to bachelor of science in nursing, and master of science in nursing.
