Senior Enrollment Counselor Deanna Keller is a King alumna who graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. A native of Bristol, Virginia, Deanna entered King as a transfer student from Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon after participating in King’s dual-enrollment program there.
“I was able to graduate in two-and-a-half years because of all the dual enrollment credits that transferred over to King,” Deeanna said.
In fact, every single dual enrollment credit transferred successfully as part of King’s Dual Enrollment Program, which allowed her to have time to compete as a member of the women’s track team, graduate early and lower her higher education costs.
Deeanna has worked in her current role at King since 2018. Both her degree in Psychology and her status as a transfer student have come in handy since she is responsible for transfer, international transfer, and readmitted students, along with students admitted to King’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program.
“My favorite part of my job is connecting with students and making the admissions process as simple as possible,” she said.
Deeanna currently works remotely in Kentucky with her husband, Dylan, and cat, Peaches. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, hunting, and fishing.
