Biography
As a native of Irmo, South Carolina, I went to Tennessee to attend Milligan College/University. A long soul-searching journey ensued until I realized I wanted to become a Social Studies teacher. But after a dry season for Social Studies jobs, I decided to spend some time working in an environment most suitable to me besides the classroom: the library—specifically, King University Libraries. In the ways that I can, I desire to help students gain knowledge and foster critical thinking in the pursuit of truth.
I enjoy singing, contra dancing, playing D&D, cooking, and reading a good book in my spare time. My areas of interest in history are the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, the Interwar Period, and the history of political ideologies. My favorite genre is fantasy. As a Christian, I come from the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. However, I enjoy reading and learning from other Church traditions. To date, my proudest accomplishment is my Master’s Thesis on Gnosticism and the Evangelical community.
