Founded in 1867, King University (originally King College) is a Presbyterian-affiliated Christian academic community dedicated to the integration of rigorous academic programming and the exploration of faith. The University establishes students in a robust liberal arts foundation and offers specialization in a contemporary range of degrees.

Admissions
King has three formats to choose from to help you complete your degree - full-time day classes, classes one evening a week, or 100% online.

Amanda Held Opelt, author, speaker, and songwriter, opens the King Institute for Faith & Culture’s Fall 2026 series, “Rootedness and Responsibility,” presented in partnership with Johnson City’s First Presbyterian Church.
