An interactive classroom demonstration of the Deese-Roediger-McDermott (DRM) paradigm, showing how studying semantically related word lists produces false recognition of a related but never-presented lure word.

Students study four short word lists, each built around a theme (e.g., sleep, chair, angry, girl) but never containing the theme word itself. After each list, a recognition test asks students to identify which words were actually shown, including old words, new unrelated words, and the critical “lure” word. Results show hit rate, correct rejection rate, and lure recognition rate, and let students download their trial-level data as a CSV.
