King University often has special projects and initiatives contributing to our mission to “prepare students in our Christian academic community to excel as thoughtful, resourceful, and responsible citizens with a passion for serving God, the Church, and the world.”
What’s a Grant?
Private foundations and public agencies exist to help people in specific ways. These institutions provide guidance and money to other groups with missions that align with theirs. They do so by offering grant programs. These programs usually have specific goals and provide support from one to five years. Sometimes grants go to individuals—for example, state grants to students—but institutional grant programs help the King community address aspects of its mission across campus. Grants from these programs can buy equipment, pay for student trips, recruit speakers, and allow many other opportunities.

King Institute for Faith and Culture
The King Institute for Faith and Culture is King’s speakers series. The Institute brings a dozen or so speakers to Bristol each academic year to address recent topics of concern and interest for the Church and society. These speakers also offer their insights in public presentations. Please see the Institute’s website for an impressive list of current and past speakers.
