Biography

Lee Jones is an educator of visual media. His fine art photography work deals with themes of historical and cultural perceptions of the photographic medium. Originally from Bristol, Va, Jones earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Carson-Newman University. While pursing an advanced degree from Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Jones assisted and worked professionally in commercial, architectural, and editorial photography including an internship in the imaging department at the Turner Broadcasting company. After earning his Master of Fine Arts in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design, he returned home to continue his career in Bristol, TN. One of his pieces was recently selected for publication in the Anthology of Appalachian Photography by Sapling Grove Press.
